They called me mad.
Proclaimed insane who’ve lost his head
For untamed sweetness that’s in band
Along with tender of her hand.
And not to say that they were wrong,
I did fall deep among her songs,
Which she has sung under the moon
Becoming my soul’s only tune.
They called me mad,
For they don’t see,
How one’s soul trembles in the sea
Of her eye’s twinkle,
That at once dwindles,
Yet rekindles,
The deepest flames that burn in me.
You called this madness in your cries,
Feeding the anger in your throat.
Yet still, your fears can be sought.
You scream so loud to not be caught,
In mad man’s dances so familiar,
That may remind you,
You have loved.
